PF FLYERS

• PF Flyers are born in 1905 in Ohio (US) with the name of BF Goodrich and, as investment in an alternative and   upcoming market like the one for sneakers, on the part of one of the most important companies in the production   of car tires worldwide.
• The exemplar ‘Chief Long Distance’ is worn at the Olympic Games of Amsterdam in 1928 by the multiple   Olympic Winner Jim Thorpe.
• In 1933 Hyman L. Whitman patents the Posture Foundation, an innovative insole offering comfort, support and   freedom to move. Posture Foundation means premium construction and materials to deliver long- playing   performance. BF Goodrich becomes PF Flyers, from the Posture Foundation (PF) and a special line born for   children, thus called Flyers.
• In the 40ies and 50ies PF Flyers continues to confirm its leadership role in canvas footwear, a market in which in   1958 the sales figures reaches a number of 14 000 000 pairs of shoes.
• Today PF Flyers are produced in collaboration with New Balance, an enterprise that has taken over PF in 2001 and   has faithfully retained the original sense of sports and pleasure that has made PF to one of the most loved brands   of the US.
• In 2005, with its new, beautiful and modern leisure time line in different colour varieties, realized with traditional   and innovative materials and thanks to the continuous research of one of the most tingly and active style and   design centre of sportswear worldwide, the brand experiences the second youth.
• Today PF Flyers are becoming again the choice of those, who search for historical sneakers maintained in good-   look and active comfort, and at the same time are able, thanks to Posture Foundation, to offer well-being to their   feet. Quality that has allowed certain exemplars to return as phenomenon of clothing worldwide.

PF Flyers. Run Faster, Jump Higher!
This is how an old PF advertisement of the 50ies sounded. However, it is still effective! FUN!
